When I first locked down parts of my journal, it was partially in response to the "Deletegate"/"Strikethrough" situation of May 2007, and partially due to several disturbing incidents former friends/so-called fans.
That's passed now, and most of my fanfiction is unlocked and tagged - as a matter of fact, let me make it easy for you! You can find it right here. If that was all you were looking for, please don't feel obliged to friend :P
However, if you want to see the locked fic, or get to know me, then please do :) Locked fic generally includes any Harry Potter Hogwarts-era fic, or Supernatural slash (Wincest), or anything that is a bit too kinky for most or in any way questionable. That can be found here.
If you are friending me and would like to be friended back, please comment here and note that I have a few rules:
1. You need to be 18 years of age, or older. This is a fairly common age of consent around the world and I think fairly reasonable. I'm going to check profiles to confirm age.
2. Not only do you need to BE 18+, if you don't have your date of birth posted on your profile you'll need to make an age statement in your comment. I'll take your word for it.
3. If you and I are already friends and you're NOT 18 or older, please don't mention it. I'm happy not knowing.
4. If you want me to friend you, please friend me back! It's kind of weird to be asked to be friended and then have the commenter NOT friend!
Things that are relevent for you to know:
1. My blanket disclaimer is here, and I'll link to that on all my fics rather than re-write it every time.
2. I fangirl the following acutely: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Supernatural, Heroes, Scrubs, Alias, Dark Angel, Star Gate (all varieties), Black Books, Extras, Fraggle Rock, Weeds, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Firefly, Roswell, The Office (UK version), Buffy, How I Met Your Mother, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Oz, Veronica Mars, Dexter, Battle of the Planets, Will & Grace, Arrested Development, True Blood, The X Files, Star Trek (all series and films, but my faves are The Next Generation and the new J.J. Abrams flick), Battlestar Galactica (new and old), Dollhouse, Fringe, Star Wars, and I'm probably forgetting something here but I think it's time to stop.
3. I may fangirl these things, but the only fic I have written (so far) is in the Harry Potter and Supernatural universes. This may never change!
4. I used to read frequently, but haven't had the time in years. Please don't be offended if I don't read your fics! Nothing personal. There are also just things I'm not interested in reading, no matter how well written they are or how much I like you.
5. I used to write frequently as well, but have been suffering from writers block and a severe lack of time for ages. New fic might be scarce, harassment is not a motivator!
6. Sometimes it takes me a while to respond to your requests and comments, so I apologise up front for that.
